Samanzi

Overview

Samanzi is the third lodge in the Shongwe Selection, and it feels like a little water world in the middle of Victoria Falls town. There are fifteen cabana-style rooms, each with a private deck and a door onto the tiered pools. The pools step down over three levels, with a swim-up bar and a jacuzzi beside the bar. You are about one kilometre from town and about two kilometres from the waterfall. Meals are served on site. Chef Jason runs the kitchen, and there is a private wine-cellar dinner if you ask for it. If you are staying with the Shongwe Selection you can also use the lookout tower at Shongwe Lookout, which is nearby and is its own lodge. It is a town lodge with a pool at the centre of the stay, not a private game reserve.
